Galicia will gain 3,617 inhabitants until 2039, going from about 2,693,649 Galicians in 2024 to 2,697,266, according to data from the Population Projection and Household Projection studies published this Monday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE), which indicate that the average household will go from 2.4 people to 2.16. However, the greatest decrease between 2024 and 2039 will be recorded by households with 4 people or more, with 182,030, 19.3% less in 15 years. In this way, the average size will be 2.16 people per household.
