A young student is in intensive care after suffering serious burns in an explosion that occurred in a student housing in Bariloche. The young woman, originally from the neighboring town of El Bolsón, has 30% of her body affected by burns.

The event, which took place last Sunday in a residence belonging to the National University of Comahue, became relevant this Wednesday when El Cordillerano was able to learn that the victim is in the Zonal Hospital of Bariloche with a reserved prognosis. According to hospital sources reported to El Cordillerano, the young woman is receiving intensive care and mechanical respiration due to the severity of her injuries.

Sources from the Ramón Carrillo Hospital consulted by this means indicated that a referral to a more complex center in Buenos Aires is being managed, due to the need for specialized care to treat the extensive burns suffered by the student.

The explosion occurred inside a residential home intended for students, although no specific details have been provided about the exact location of the property. Sources linked to the case confirmed that the causes of the accident are being investigated.
