Unfaithful employees were caught “stealing” gas from the bottles

The dangerous maneuver was warned yesterday at noon by members of the Eleventh Police Station when, while walking through the streets of the Valle Chico housing complex, they saw two men on the side of two trucks with the legend “Moreno” near the banks of the El Tala River. Gas” by manipulating bottled gas cylinder tubes.

The subjects were identified as Cristian Mayorga (32) and Ezequiel Bazán (31), who told them they were employees of the bottled gas distributor “Moreno Gas.”

Both people, according to official information, were adulterating the contents of a 45 kg gas bottle, which was lying in the bed of the truck connected to another 15 kg bottle that was on the ground. A few meters away, the researchers saw two other 10 and 15 kg bottles, one without and the other with a security band. When consulting Mayorga and Bazán, they responded that they were loading the bottle for the home of one of them. They immediately ordered them to close the bottle and stop this action that put not only their lives at risk but also that of third parties.

The officers then informed prosecutor Jésica Miranda of the Southern District of the procedure by telephone, who ordered the immediate arrest of both unfaithful employees and the seizure of the gas cylinders, as well as the hose they were using and the trucks.

While the police were working at the scene, the owner of the Moreno Gas company, Carlos Dante Moreno, arrived, who after speaking with the uniformed officers went on his own to Judicial Unit No. 9 and reported the theft of gas by the employees.
Finally, both subjects ended up staying at the Ninth Police Station. It was expected that during yesterday they would be charged and investigated by the prosecutor.
