Bill Cobbs, actor of ‘Night at the Museum,’ ‘The Bodyguard,’ and ‘The Sopranos,’ has died at the age of 90. The actor died on June 25 in Inland Empire at his home in California from natural causessurrounded by his loved ones.

The beginnings and career of the actor

Before beginning his acting career, Cobbs served in the United States Air Force., but he soon let himself be guided by his passion for acting and gave free rein to his artistic gifts in the world of theater. He moved from Ohio to New York to dedicate himself fully to it, working in companies like “Negro Ensemble Company” until finding a place in the film industry.

The veteran actor had a successful career that began after his appearance in ‘Pelham 1,2,3’ in 1974.. From there, he took off in the world of cinema, quickly landing roles in a considerable number of films, such as ‘The Hitler’, ‘The Color of Money’, ‘Between Rascals and the Game’ or ‘Bird’, thus covering more than five decades in the industry.

His golden era was in the 90s when Cobbs carried out up to 20 projects, even working on four films in the same year. Among them are ‘Air Bud’, ‘Friends in Force’, ‘The President’s Son’ and ‘A Day of Glory’, as well as one of the most significant, ‘The Bodyguard’, in which he acted alongside Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston.
