Pamplona (EFE).- A 47-year-old man died early Thursday afternoon and his 53-year-old wife was injured with a reserved prognosis after the vehicle in which they were traveling on the A ran off the road. -12 (Camino de Santiago Highway), in the municipality of Legarda.
The couple’s son, a 12-year-old minor, was also traveling in the vehicle and was taken to the University Hospital of Navarra with minor injuries, according to investigation sources.
Collision with a guardrail
The accident occurred when the vehicle left the road and collided with the guardrail at kilometer 16.5 of the A-12, in Legarda.
Upon the arrival of the emergency services, the driver of the vehicle, a 47-year-old man, had already died, reports the Provincial Government. The advanced life support ambulance has transferred the 53-year-old woman to the University Hospital of Navarra, who has a chest trauma, with a reserved prognosis.
The SOS Navarra 112 emergency management center received notification of the incident at 12:08 p.m. and mobilized the Puente la Reina medical team on duty, an advanced life support ambulance (medicalized), to the scene of the incident. troops and firefighters from the Cordovilla park and Civil Guard patrols.
An autopsy will be performed on the body of the deceased at the Navarro Institute of Legal Medicine. Civil Guard patrols are carrying out the investigation into the incident.
