Day Vásquez, former partner of Nicolás Petro, and main witness in the process against her for alleged illicit enrichment, was charged with allegedly having violated the personal data of Génesis Fabiola Olave García, who is the best friend of Laura Ojeda, current partner of son of the president.
The investigation indicates that Vásquez would have paid $20 million to intercept the communications of his former friends Laura Ojeda and Génesis Olave.
This because he suspected that Nicolás Petro was being unfaithful to him.
In this context, Olave García had denounced the prosecutor Mario Burgos for prevarication by omission. All because, according to her, he never took into account his part of the story or complaint, from the beginning when the investigation against Vásquez began. “He only accused Daysuris of having violated Laura Ojeda’s data, when it was clear that this invasion of privacy had also occurred with respect to me.”
With this new accusation the two investigations will be united, but now the prosecutor Burgos announced that he would charge Génesis Olave for false accusation. “With the previous announcement, I feel re-victimized and intimidated, since the last thing that is expected from the development of a procedure like this is for the Prosecutor who must guarantee my rights, to announce that he wants to make me an accused in a criminal matter,” Olave wrote.
