A vehicle has left the road and collided with the guardrail on the A-12 highway. A man has died at the scene and a woman has been injured and taken to the University Hospital of Navarra.
A 47 year old man died early this Thursday afternoon and a 53-year-old woman, who was in the same vehicle, was injured in a traffic accident in Legarda (Navarre).
As reported by the Provincial Government, the accident occurred when the vehicle, which was traveling towards Pamplona, left the road and collided with the guardrail at kilometer 16.5 of the highway. A-12.
The SOS Navarra 112 emergency management center received notification of the incident at 12:08 p.m. By the time emergency services arrived at the scene, the driver of the vehicle had already died.
The advanced life support ambulance has transferred the 53-year-old woman to the University Hospital of Navarra, who has a chest trauma, with a reserved prognosis.
The couple’s son, a 12-year-old minor, was also traveling in the car, who has also been taken to the University Hospital of Navarra with minor injuries, according to investigation sources.
Civil Guard patrols are conducting investigations into the accident.
