Minutes after 08:00 hours this Wednesday, a strong explosion disturbed the tranquility of that morning in the Buenos Aires city of Salto, located about 180 km northwest of CABA.

According to local media, Los Principios, the incident was related to an alleged technical failure in the bakery area of the local branch of Supermercados La Anónima where one of the ovens, perhaps due to excess pressure not detected by the system or a possible gas leak, caused an explosion that blew its door open, which ended up hitting the shoulder of an employee named Álvarez, who was preventively transferred to a health center in the city, where his trauma was determined to be mild.

Another employee who had bleeding from one of his hands was also taken to the same medical center, where he received the appropriate treatment.

It should be noted that the Supermarket was immediately evacuated and the Municipality’s Traffic and Urban Control Personnel, Volunteer Firefighters and members of the Communal Police attended the scene.

Around noon, specialized personnel from the company were working in the affected area to determine the origin of the explosion, which, fortunately, was nothing more than a big scare. (GEIInfo)
