HOOD RIVER — A collision involving a semi-truck occurred on the Hood River-White Salmon Interstate Bridge around 11:45 a.m. June 27, resulting in severe damage. Those traveling across the bridge at the time were struck and impacted by the incident.
The bridge has since been cleared of traffic.
For safety reasons and to allow engineers to thoroughly assess the damage, the bridge will be closed until further notice. “We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we prioritize safety and work towards a resolution,” he told the Port of Hood River press release. “Please seek alternative routes and stay tuned for updates.
