As in every relevant event, whether political, sporting or artistic, among other branches, the presidential debate in the United Statess between Joe Biden and donald trump was not alien to the memes on social mediawhich were flooded with posts related to the first meeting between the candidates ahead of the November 5 elections.
The Simpsons and the somewhat doubtful expression of the current American president in the dialectical clash with his opponent were the arguments most used by users.
“Biden has looked like this throughout the entire debate,” wrote one of them next to an image of Lisa Simpson looking somewhat lost.
Another compared Biden’s posture to that of Charles Montgomery Burns, the villain in the series created by Matt Groening.
“Say your best, Jill,” reads an edited image with an alleged patient with Biden’s face lying on a bed and being assisted by a nurse.
The networks also questioned both candidates together. “I’m looking at my only two options for president,” said one user with a photo of a man smoking many cigarettes at the same time and lamenting the situation.
