Princess Anne was discharged this Friday from Southmead Hospital in Bristol, where she was admitted after suffering a concussion and injuries resulting from a horse riding accident last Sunday at Gatcombe Park, her country residence in Gloucester. The news was confirmed by both Buckingham Palace and the princess’s husband, Vice-Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence.

In a public statement, Sir Timothy expressed his gratitude to the medical team at Southmead Hospital for their care and professionalism. “I would like to extend my warmest thanks to the team at Southmead Hospital for their care, expertise and kindness during my wife’s short stay.”said Laurence, who was photographed on Tuesday bringing gifts to his wife.
