On the stage of Córdoba in 1913the drama The promise It is presented as a captivating narrative in which love, revenge and dark family secrets intertwine, set just before the world is plunged into the First World War. The series, which has achieved a prominent place in both the RTVE Play platform with 50 million views as well as on open television with a million daily viewers, it is now preparing to conquer the audience of Max. His recognition has already materialized with an award at the festival of Vitoria in 2023 and a nomination at the Festival Rose D’Orjust as it has been published by the EFE news agency.

The 30 episodes of the first season have been available since April 8 on the platform. At the same time, every Monday the rest of the chapters will be incorporated (10 per week until the 122 that comprise it are completed). The fiction is directed by Miguel Conde, Javier Pulido, Eva Bermúdez, Alberto Pernet, David Paricio Burtin and Carlos Navarro Ballesteros and part of an original idea of Josep Cister Rubio and a script by Susana Prieto, Ruth García and Carmen Llano.

The plot revolves around Jana (Ana Garces), a woman determined to avenge the death of her mother and the kidnapping of her brother. Her destiny takes her to The Promise Palace, property of the Marquises of Luján in the Los Pedroches valley, where an airplane accident becomes the starting point of their intricate mission. The young pilot, Manuel (Arturo Sancho)son of the marquises, is involved in this family drama when Jana, the embodiment of justice and unrequited love, saves his life from the flames.

With a high-caliber production, the series is a sample of narrative and visual richness, located in the spectacular El Rincón Palace and on sets that faithfully recreate the era and the majestic Luján palace. Ana Garcés, Eva Martín, Arturo Sancho, Joaquín Climent, Andrea del Río, María Castro, Antonio Velázquez, Enrique Fortún, Paula Losada and Carmen Asecasare part of the talented cast that brings this story to life, under the direction of RTVE.

“Can love quench the thirst for revenge? Could you forget those who ruined your life?, the plot asks, introducing the viewer to a moral dilemma that resonates throughout the series. The intersection of the plot with the pre-war historical context adds an additional dimension, exploring not only the intense personal relationships but also the social and political landscape of Spain at that time.

The series offers not only a look at the Spanish aristocracy and its networks of power, but also delves into social and family conflicts, presenting a narrative that is both personal and historical. With a mix of thriller and romantic drama, The promise It promises to be one of the most engaging and emotional productions on current television. The fiction also has two more seasons. The second is made up of 119 episodes and the third is made up of 131 chapters in total.
