In October 2021, Don Mancini, the creator of chucky (writer of all the films and director of the last three), presented a series focused on the famous red-haired doll, which acts as a direct continuation of the numerous films, being Cult of Chucky the last of them, released in 2017.
With three seasons already broadcast and the last one still ongoing with one of its most controversial episodes, the future of the series is unclear, although it has managed to attract a good number of viewers. In an exclusive interview with The DirectMancini revealed that, for now, there are no guarantees of a fourth season. However, he is optimistic and, after presenting the project to the network, the decision is now in the hands of syfy and uSA Network.
“There is very little I can say about it,” he said at the beginning. “I can’t tell you my idea for the fourth season, but I’m excited about it. I have already introduced it to the network. So let’s cross our fingers because I like to do it,” he noted hopefully about a possible continuation of chucky.
Furthermore, Don Mancini believes that, if a continuation is approved, it would only be in 2025. “I think it’s going to be fun and, again, another unexpected twist on what we’ve done so far. We don’t know the status of the show yet. So, again, fingers crossed for a renewal, right?” he said.
