BBC presents the trailer for the second season of ‘The Responder‘, the acclaimed police drama starring Martin Freeman that is inspired by the true experiences of former police officer and writer Tony Schumacher.
Freeman plays an unconventional and morally compromised emergency officer who faces a series of night shifts on the dangerous streets of Liverpool. Night after night he faces crime, violence and addiction as he battles personal demons that threaten to destabilize his job, his marriage and his mental health.
Adelayo Adedayo, MyAnna Buring, Warren Brown, Josh Finan, Emily Fairn, Philip S McGuinness, Faye McKeever, Mark Womack and Amaka Okafor repeat alongside Freeman at the head of the cast of this second season, which includes Adam Nagaitis, Bernard Hill and Ian Puleston-Davies.
Directed on this occasion by Jeanette Nordahl, Mounia Akl and Charlotte Regan, the six new episodes of this production by Dancing Ledge Productions – part of Fremantle – for BBC One will premiere in its native United Kingdom starting today, May 5, without that for the moment Movistar Plus+ has set a date for our country.
