MEXICO CITY, June 3 (EL UNIVERSAL).- In an entertaining conversation with Isabel Lascurain, Angélica Vale recalled her first years as a theater actress, since from a very young age she debuted in the staging of her grandmother, Doña Angélica Ortiz, career which he combined with his studies at the French Lyceum, where he studied in that language, which is why, at the age of 12, he realized that he had not yet learned to read well in Spanish.

Angélica’s records on television literally date back to her first days of life, as she appeared in some episodes of “I found you in April”, the soap opera in which her mother, Angélica María, played a woman who has just given birth. light.

After that, she began to participate in some of the plays that her grandmother produced. In fact, she confided to Lascurain that Doña Angélica gave him all the credit for the ideas she contributed to her staging, regardless of how small she was.

“My grandmother pushed me, she told me: ‘Let’s see, what can you come up with? Let’s see, write it’, there I went to write it, obviously, my grandmother helped me, but she told me, ‘But the original idea is yours, I’m going to use Angélica Vale’s original script,'” he said.

This is how she participated in different performances with the condition that she did not neglect her studies at the French Lyceum, the school where she was enrolled because she asked her mother and father, the singer Raúl Vale, to do so.

Her parents enrolled her in that school without taking into account that everything she was taught, both mathematics and other subjects, was in French, which never caused her a problem, until, when she was 12, they extended the opportunity to her. to star in the play ‘Vaselina’, but “la Vale” did not know how to read Spanish.

“My parents paid a lot of attention to me when I was little, I don’t know what’s in my head, they put me in a French school, where I was very happy, I studied there until sixth grade, when suddenly they sent me the script for ‘Gaseline’ , they tell me ‘read it’ and I say: ‘I don’t know how to read in Spanish’, they didn’t put me in French school, in the Mexican section, they put me in the French section, where everything was French all the time, I mean, I did know read because I knew how to speak, but as a little girl, I couldn’t read well, I didn’t know how, no one had taught me well,” she confided.

It was then that Vale was enrolled in the Mexican section, so she had to go back a year from the studies she had already completed, which was difficult for her at first because she had to separate herself from her friends, although studying school in Spanish was difficult for her. made it much easier.

Mastering reading in Spanish, Angélica starred in ‘Vaselina’ alongside Alejandro Ibarra, with whom she automatically fell in love when she met him, because before knowing about him, her platonic love was his older brother, Benny.

The romance between Sandy and Danny surpassed fiction, since “la Vale” and Ibarra were boyfriends; He was the one she gave her first kiss to, however, her relationship did not last long because she was still very innocent for the type of relationship the teenager entered into.

“I was in love with Benny until I saw Alejandro in ‘Vaselina’, I said: ‘This one is more my age, I have a better chance than with Benny, I like his brother better’, so when they told me that I was going to star with him, dream fulfilled, because there was a kiss at the drive-in, I was 12 years old, I had never kissed in my life, he gave me my first kiss at a rehearsal, he was very bold that’s why we thundered, we were boyfriend and girlfriend, for almost two years To this day you ask him why we broke up and he doesn’t know, I do; he went with someone else who did things that I didn’t do,” he said.
