The 20th anniversary edition of the program ‘Desafío’ continues to lead the nights of national television, reaffirming its position as the most watched program in Colombia. ‘Challenge XX’broadcast by Caracol, has once again surpassed its own audience records, leaving behind its direct competitor, ‘The House of the Famous’ of RCN, which continues to have a marked decline in viewership and is almost out of the ranking of the most watched programs.

According to data from Kantar Ibope Media, the company specialized in measuring audience levels on Colombian television, ‘Desafío XX’, hosted by Andrea Serna and María Fernanda Aristizábal, continues to lead with an impressive record of 13.61 audience points. This success is largely attributed to the recent episode, where the sentence, reward and punishment challenge took place, culminating in an intense battle between teams in the Citadel, attracting a large number of viewers.

Caracol not only remains at the top with ‘Desafío XX’, but has also managed to consolidate its leadership in the Top 10 with other programs. The soap opera ‘Devuélveme la vida’ reached a notable record of 8.96 audience points. In addition, Turkish drama series such as ‘Hicran’ and ‘Sureyya’, along with the broadcast of the Mexican novel ‘Rubí’, registered 4.57, 4.27 and 3.85 points, respectively, also surpassing ‘La Casa de los Famosos’.

‘La Casa de los Famosos’ went down in its last episode

On the other hand, RCN faces one of its worst moments in terms of audience. ‘La Casa de los Famosos’, hosted by Cristina Hurtado and Carla Giraldo, is almost off the list, ranking in ninth position with just 3.82 audience points. This is one of the lowest scores it has had since its premiere on February 11, reflecting a clear decline in its popularity.

Furthermore, RCN’s dramatic bet, ‘Rojo Carmesí’, starring Laura de León, Carlos Báez, Carolina Gaitán and Juan Guilera, also failed to be among the most watched programs on national television, further aggravating the channel’s situation.

While Caracol continues to achieve success and dominate Colombian nights with ‘Desafío XX’ and other productions, RCN struggles to stay relevant in an increasingly competitive television landscape. The notable difference in audience levels between these two channels shows the current preferences of the public, who continue to opt for Caracol’s high-quality and exciting content.
