It has taken two years of waiting, but season 4 of The Boys has just arrived on Prime Video with the debut of its first three episodes and somewhat bittersweet news: the fifth season, already confirmed, will also be the last, so the story of the protagonists has already set its direction to its final stretch.
Although it was one of the most anticipated premieres of the year and promises to be as wild and crazy as its predecessors, none of the 8 episodes of season 4 of The Boys has generated as much hype as the sixth episode of the season generated at the time. 3: the already famous ‘Herogasm’ around which there was expectation for months. The reason was simple: Creator Eric Kripke had promised us that it would host the biggest orgy ever seen on television.
Based on a famous and infamous event straight from the comics, ‘Herogasm’ had become “legend” for the series team and they had managed to convey their emotion to their followers as well.

“I don’t like to back down, so I waited until I had enough influence and goodwill at Amazon to be able to move this forward,” Kripke explained of the process. And so he did it. After the excellent reception of the second season, which was even nominated for Best Series at the Emmy Awards of its year, the creator announced that ‘Herogasm’ would be part of season 3.
In the comic, the main plot of ‘Herogasm’ introduced us to the group of The Boysspecifically Butcher (Karl Urban), Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso) and Frenchie (Tomer Capon) infiltrating an annual superhero party sponsored by Vought where attendees spent their vacation having sex.

And although at first all details about the episode beyond what was already known about it were kept secret, the team had no problem talking about its filming and how those days on set became legend. “I remember hearing a couple of the team members, who were outside talking like, ‘I’ve seen things…’ and they sounded like they were coming from the war,” Chace Crawford told SensaCine. “The talk about it was legend… It was so crazy that I’m afraid they had to film some things that gave them PTSD.” “I’m grateful when I hear some of the stories that I wasn’t there because I think it would have scarred me, that “There is not enough therapy in the world to recover from that episode,” added Antony Starr, in charge of playing Patriot.
