Very few doubted that it would not be like that, but it has also been a surprise that HBO did not even want to wait for the broadcast of the first episode of the second season of The House of the Dragon to confirm renewal of the Game of Thrones spin-off for its third season. This is what we know.
We already knew from statements by George RR Martin himself that the idea is to try to make four seasons, and given the audience success that was the original premiere of the series In the final stretch of 2023 it was clear that HBO was not going to miss the opportunity to give the scriptwriters a little more scope. But we had to wait, at least, to see if the second season was liked by the press and it has been, with positive evaluations from a good part of the critics.
