Pedro García Aguado wins ‘Survivors’ against Torres, the infallible firefighter

The final of ‘Survivors’ was full of emotion. The four finalists, Torres, Marieta, Pedro and Arkano, after Gorka dropped out of the final in the last vote in Honduras, arrived at the Mediaset facilities in Madrid by helicopter. The last days of survival had been one of absolute coexistence and each of them felt that anyone was worthy of the prize. But the check and the glory of winning first place could only go to one and that one was Pedro García Aguado.

Arkano was on the verge of fighting for the throne of survival, although satisfied with his journey during the more than 100 days that he has been in the contest in which on more than one occasion he has wanted to throw in the towel. And the road has not been easy and nor was it going to be on the set of ‘Survivors’ where, before Jorge Javier Vázquez raised the arm of the winner of the night, they had to overcome several tests. As has been the usual trend throughout the experience, Torres emerged victorious in each of the challenges. The firefighter demonstrated once again his physical ability, but also his empathy with his colleagues since he did not hesitate to help his opponent Marieta overcome the tests that the program had arranged for them.

Thus, Rubén Torres became the first direct finalist and Marieta and Pedro played for the pass in a vote that placed the one from Elche in a creditable third place. The Olympian had some emotional words for her in which he valued her character and personality. «It’s a pleasure to meet the girl you are. “You have your head in her place and you can be an example for many young people,” she told him.

Then came the duel at the summit between Pedro and Torres. Finally, the public rewarded the athlete for his ability to improve, after in the first stages of the contest he was on the verge of giving up due to both physical and emotional weakness. Already with the check for 200,000 euros in hand, García Aguado explained his plans for the money: help his daughters with a fund for their savings and collaborate with the 21 Hours Association, by Ernesto Algarra, dedicated to the prevention of addictions and support for affected families.
