On the night of Tuesday, June 18, a new season of “MasterChef Celebrity” began, this time the judges Jorge Rausch and Nicolás de Zubiría return, who with the departure of Chris Carpentier, will have the Mexican Adria Marina as his new partner. Claudia Bahamón returns as the host of the program.
This time the competition program has personalities such as Jacques Touckmanian, Víctor Mallarino, Martina la dangerous, Caterine Ibargüen, among others. With different challenges in the kitchen, one of the 22 celebrities will take the title of MasterChef, which in the previous edition went to the actress Carolina Acevedo, who defeated Adrián Parada, Nela González and Daniela Tapia in the final.
The first chapter of “MasterChef Celebrity 2024”
The sixth season of this program began with the victory of actress Paola Rey, who with a queen’s arm took the first immunity pin. The first challenge was to prepare the traditional cake. The 22 participants had to make the dish with the elements that were in the so-called mystery box.
In the box were found several types of fruits such as sugar apple, chontaduro, cape gooseberry, soursop, tangerine, plums, guava, papaya, star fruit and tree tomato. The actress who won the challenge had to make the preparation with chontaduro, combining acidity and sweetness.
During this first episode, three of the participants put on their first black aprons, which in an elimination challenge could lead them to end their time in the program. The comedian Franko Bonilla and the actresses Marcela Gallego and María Fernanda Yepes were the first contestants to put on their aprons. The judges justified their decision by poor preparation, mistake with the flavor and poor presentation. “There were three dishes that really deserve a black apron today… We can ask for a volunteer,” Rausch said.

The actress could not hold back her tears upon receiving the judges’ comments and the results she obtained in this first challenge. “The dessert is raw,” were some of the words they said. “I must admit that I was never interested in baking, I have to be honest and I had never made a dessert in my life,” Yepes explained.
“Today, if you are in a kitchen, you should be interested more than liked. It is very uncomfortable to try a dessert that has guava seeds. I think even the pastry cream was raw,” said the new judge of the contest, Adria Marina.
