The second part of the third season of the successful Bridgerton series premiered on June 13 in Netflix, marking the final appearance of Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington as the lead couple. Followers are already speculating about which of the Bridgerton brothers will take center stage in the fourth season that will arrive in at least two years.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Jess Brownell hinted that the lead of the next installment has yet to be revealed, stating: “I’ve been close to revealing the name a couple of times, so keep asking, maybe! Maybe I miss it!”
Brownell showed his enthusiasm for writing the fourth season: “We are almost at the end with the writers room. “I feel like it’s some of my best work and the best work of my team of writers.”
Why will it take so long for Bridgerton to return? The scriptwriter acknowledged the long wait for new episodes, but he provided an explanation. “We are working to try to release the seasons more quickly, but they take eight months to film, and then they must be edited and dubbed into all languages,” she explained.
In addition, he added that “writing also takes a long time, so we are on a two-year rhythm. “We are trying to accelerate, but in that range.”
