Durante octubre de 2012, TVN estrenó el primer capítulo de El Reemplazante, el cual contó con la participación de Maite Neira, quien dio vida a la entrañable Toyita.
En dicha serie, la actriz interpretó a la hermana de Maicol (Sebastián Ayala), quien sufrió diversos abusos tras vivir en una familia vulnerable de escasos recursos.

In dialogue with Página 7, the young woman, currently 21 years old, provided details of her present after her time in this successful fiction.
“It has been one of the things I have enjoyed doing the most, it is a product that has nice feedback that remains valid to this day, and that is wonderful,” he began by saying.
“At the moment I am studying theater acting at the University of Chile, I am working on a couple of projects (…) I am also crowdfunding for a pilot for a series that I star in called cherry flavor”he added.
Regarding her participation in this acclaimed production, the interviewee highlighted that “I am excited and moved by all the love from the people”.
“It was a challenge to do it in a sincere way, but my parents instilled discipline in me and explained to me, within what could be said to a 10-year-old girl, what was happening.”he recalled.
“Likewise, since I was a child I have been very empathetic, so I have always used that in my work and recognizing acting as a job more than a hobby,” she added.
Finally, Maite Neira referred to the possibility of a third season of The Replacementafter the story was left unfinished in its second cycle.
“There are ideas and proposals floating in the air, what is missing is to be concreted, but if people ask for it, I don’t see why it shouldn’t be done.”, he stated.
