Dr. Alberto Cormillot and his wife, nutritionist Estefanía Pasquini, starred in an unexpected live encounter during the broadcast of Matter of weight. The discussion arose while evaluating the case of a participant who was facing difficulties with his eating plan.
The incident began when Ernesto, nicknamed “the gaucho,” claimed to have completed his long weekend task but requested a “special diet” from his nutritionist. Mario Massaccesi asked if that could be possible.
“In practice they do it, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn’t, but in general it is not something that appears from one moment to the next. Possibly, there is something that he did not do well before to reach a moment of despair,” Cormillot said.
Pasquini partially agreed with her husband, but emphasized that the team was available throughout the weekend. “It is possible to ask for a diet or something alternative within the eating plan, as help, but it is not a rescue from one day to the next,” Estefanía clarified.
Sergio Verón, also part of the team, suggested that “the gaucho” was asking for “more of the same,” to which Pasquini responded: “It’s not more of the same. The thing is that they want something that is like magic.”
Mario intervened to clarify whether it was feasible to request a special diet in exceptional cases. Then, Estefanía explained: “It’s good that it’s whitewashed, to say ‘I’m having a long weekend that’s costing me a lot.’ So we’ll talk about it and see.”
The cycle driver wanted to know Alberto’s opinion about what his wife said, but he responded: “No, it’s fine, I’m not going to argue with the boss.” To which she responded: “I was going to tell you that when we get there we will talk.”
The situation was alleviated when Verón interceded with humor: “Tell me, Alberto, and I’ll tell him.” The joke made everyone present laugh, relaxing the tension and closing the exchange on a note of good humor.
