‘Harry Potter’ is back. Thirteen years after Daniel Radcliffe hung up his magic wand in the second part of ‘The Deathly Hallows’, Warner Bros. Discovery has recovered the character for a new series that aims to cover, over a decade, the eight feature films released between 2001 and 2011. In the absence of knowing the cast, Radcliffe’s successors, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, Max has revealed the name of the showrunner and the director of some chapters.
They are Francesca Gardiner and Mark Mylod. Gardiner has worked as a screenwriter on ‘The Man in the High Castle’ and ‘His Dark Materials’, also produced by the company responsible for ‘The Sopranos’ and ‘The Wire’. For his part, Mylod is responsible for feature films such as ‘Ali G is on the Loose’ or ‘The Menu’ and has also signed episodes for HBO serials, highlighting ‘Game of Thrones’. Additionally, both have previously collaborated on ‘Succession’.
