It’s an image of Goku, it’s not that big of a deal, but hey, a magic ball is better than nothing.
About a year ago we learned of the existence of a new series of dragon ball in which Akira Toriyama had his hand in: Dragon Ball Daima was released with a trailer in which its protagonists all became small, something that made many of us compare it to Dragon Ball GT and gave rise to a wave of loud indifference among fans. At the time, of course. Because, After Toriyama’s sad death, everything changed and this became his posthumous work. And therefore, Toei’s most coveted.

But it seems that the Japanese production company is not reading the public correctly, because since then we have barely had any news about the series: We don’t even have a release date, more images or an extended synopsis. And with the future of Dragon Ball Super In doubt, this is the only thing left for us, fans of the franchise, who want to say goodbye to their idol audiovisually.
Luckily, Toei has just shown that Dragon Ball Daima lives on with the publication of an image of Son Goku as a child with the staff in his hand and surrounded by the seven magic balls. It was not done by force: This is a promotional image for the Jump Victory Carnival, which will be held on July 21 on the outskirts of Tokyo and where all attendees will receive it in the form of a mouse pad along with other merchandising products from Boruto, My Hero Academia (letters and postcards), one piece (a picnic blanket) and the rest of the Shonen Jump franchises.
We probably won’t have to wait much longer to have more and more news about the saga, because Jump Victory Carnival is just four days before San Diego Comic-Conwhere they probably reveal everything we need to know to get excited again, if only to be able to say “Thanks, teacher” one last time.
