The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have reported a total of 18 injured, fourteen of whom are soldiers, as a result of the attack that occurred in the Israeli town of Arab al Aramshe, located near the border with Lebanon.

The IDF has reported that among the wounded soldiers, six are in serious condition, while the rest are in moderate to mild condition. All have been transferred to the same medical center located in the city of Nahariya.

The Lebanese Shiite militia party has claimed responsibility for the attack and has stressed that the target was an Israeli Army building. Shortly before, he had claimed to have fired projectiles at an air control base in Meron, the Lebanese television channel Al Manar, linked to the group, reported.

Following this, the Israeli Army has confirmed that its forces “have attacked the sources of the shots” and has added that fighter jets have carried out bombings against a “military building” used by Hezbollah “terrorists” in Ait al Shaab , in southern Lebanon, according to a statement published on its website.

In turn, the Israeli Army has reported that it has launched another series of attacks on Hezbollah targets in several towns in southern Lebanon, including Khiam, Mansouri, Aalma El Chaeb and Yater.

The attacks take place hours after Israel carried out bombings against Hezbollah “military installations” in southern Lebanon, a day after announcing the death of two senior members of the group, in the context of the clashes that broke out in the wake of the attacks carried out on October 7 by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
