The United States began construction of a pier in Gaza, announced the Pentagon, a project aimed at facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian territory bombed and besieged by Israel.

US military ships “have begun to build (…) the temporary port and dock at sea,” Pentagon spokesman General Pat Ryder.
