At least Three people, including a child, died due to the fierce tornadoes that hit the State of Oklahoma, in the United States, authorities reported this Sunday. In addition, there were severe damage to homes and businesses due to strong winds and flooding.
According to local media reports, dozens of tornadoes, recorded in the last few hours, caused chaos in the middle of the US, even affecting other nearby states such as Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas and Texas.
In Oklahoma, a tornado devastated the town of Holdenville, of about 5,000 inhabitants, on Saturday night, and killed at least three people, in addition to leaving four injured, Hughes County Emergency Services said in a statement. Holdenville is approximately 129 kilometers from Oklahoma City.
“My prayers go out to the people who lost loved ones to the tornadoes that hit Oklahoma last night,” said Gov. Kevin Stitt, who issued an executive order declaring a State of Emergency, while crews of workers cleared debris and assessed the damage.
