Pedestrians and merchants got a big scare today around noon after part of the masonry fell off a hotel located in Urquiza and Alberdi pedestrian area. The incident left two people with injuries, but not seriously. These people decided not to file a complaint.

A Radio Salta mobile phone spoke at the scene with those responsible for the police and the municipality, who indicated that the management of the Crystal hotel indicated that maintenance personnel would arrive at the establishment around 2:00 p.m. to carry out the corresponding repairs. It was learned that the landslide was on the fifth floor of the building.

Now we will have to see what the expertise and studies that the municipality can do on the entire structure say, to see if there is no danger of new landslides.

Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries. A woman who communicated through El Tribuno WhatsApp to tell what happened and share the images said that “it could have been a tragedy because at that time there are many people walking along that pedestrian street.”

As you can see in the images, pieces of cement were scattered on the ground. “The noise was very loud,” the woman added. Many curious people came to see what happened while waiting for police personnel to arrive at the scene.

The building where the incident occurred has a commercial premises on the ground floor while there are apartments on the upper floors.
