Guillermo Francos on Milei’s relationship with Villarruel: “He has no problem getting together and having meetings”

After the approval of the Bases law in the Senate, which was defined with the tie-breaking vote of Victoria Villarruel, the Chief of Staff Guillermo Francos came out to deny that there is a bad relationship between Javier Milei and the vice president. “We have to get this litter out of the way and continue addressing important issues,” she said.

According to Francos, the head of state himself asked him to estimate the time of the vote in order to postpone his trip for the G7 and remain in the country until then. so that in this way Villarruel “could preside and define with his vote”.

“We knew that there was a high probability that the vote would end tied 36 to 36, so the president of the Senate had to decide,” Francos said in statements to Radio Miter, and continued: “It was the president himself who asked me to “Tell him what time he estimated the vote would be to postpone his trip so that Victoria Villarruel could preside and define with her vote.”

Furthermore, he stated: “The President wanted to wait for Victoria Villarruel to be the one to break the tie and get that important minute in which she, after having helped so much in the treatment of the law in the Senate, could be the one to break the tie with her affirmative vote.

Finally, the former Minister of the Interior assured that the President has no problem meeting or having meetings with the vice president: “She is his running mate and with her they won the election”he emphasized.

On the other hand, the Chief of Staff spoke of the tour of Europe that Milei carried out in recent days and stressed that it was an “excellent trip”, that he was “a figure in the G7 and that his words were heard by the participating presidents, that he was also able to greet the Supreme Pontiff and the President of the USA.”

“From every point of view it was an extraordinary trip and of enormous importance for our country,” said Francos.
