Gelato Festival World Ranking published a list of the best artisanal ice creams in the world and it includes a Colombian ice cream parlor located in the city of Medellín.
This is the “Amor-Acuyá” ice cream parlor, which had a rating of 72 points and the recognition of a crown. ranking 48th on a list that evaluated more than a thousand ice cream makers around the world.
Behind this recognition is Daniela Lince Ledesma, food engineer at the Lasallista University Corporation. In 2016 she had already been recognized in Chicago, United States, for making the best ice cream in America.

According to the list, the best artisanal ice cream in the world is found in Budapest, Hungary. Brazil and Chile are the other two Latin American countries that managed to place at least one ice cream parlor among the 50 best ice cream shops in the world.
Amor-Acuyá is located in El Poblado and San Lucas, neighborhoods of Medellín, and this is the third recognition it has received internationally.because in 2016 they were the best ice cream in America and in 2017 the third best ice cream in the world.
The base of this ice cream is a soft passion fruit to which a reduction process is carried out. Amor-Acuyá has more than 64 thousand followers on its social networks.

Gelato Festival, an entity that organizes this type of listings, was born in 2011 and holds events in Europe and the rest of the world in search of the best artisanal ice creams. Every four years the Gelato Festival World Masters is held in Italy, where the best ice cream chefs in the world compete to compete for the title of World Master.
