The Israeli Supreme Court demands information on alleged abuses against Palestinian prisoners

He Israeli Supreme Court has urged the Government to provide information on the conditions of detention of Palestinian suspects in Sde Teiman prison after complaints about human rights violations.

Several human rights defense organizations have called for the closure of Sde Teiman for abuses against prisoners, considered terrorists by the Israeli authorities.

The Supreme Court requests information, in particular, on the meal which is given to prisoners, healthcarethe hygiene and other minimum conditions of imprisonment as set out in the Unlawful Combatants Act of 2002.

Israel holds illegal fighters, end of International human right which applies in this case to militants of Hamas and other Palestinian armed groups captured in Israel on October 7 or the following days and in the Gaza Strip during the current military campaign.

The Israeli Government has already announced its intention to close the Sde Teiman facilities, but for the moment continues to operate despite accusations of physical attacks and poor detention conditions that could constitute war crimes.
