According to information from the New York Post, a 24-year-old man was arrested by Florida police in the early hours of June 24 after traveling specifically to confront and attack a rival.

His journey began in the Newark International Airportwhich is relatively close to Manhattan, and its destination was the Jacksonville airport, in the extreme north of Florida, which involved a journey of 2 hours and 30 minutes. That is, he travelled almost 1,500 kilometres.

According to the report, The attacker had told his mother that he was visiting a friend and broke into his adversary’s residence in Deltona, Florida, and then repeatedly hitting the man while he was sleeping.

The victim suffered significant injuries that took him to the hospital but were not life-threatening.

For now it is clear that the victim’s stepfather managed to intervene, so that both managed to subdue the aggressor until the police arrived.

From there, the attacker was arrested and faces serious charges, including assassination attempt.

Police are investigating whether there are other people involved or whether there is a history of violence between the players.
