The presentation of book Seville Art It begins with a phrase by Antonio Gala: “The worst thing is not that the people of Seville think they have the most beautiful city in the world… The worst thing is that they may be right.”
Perhaps for this reason, the marriage formed by Martine and Prosper Assouline they wanted to edit a new book dedicated to the Andalusian capital within the series dedicated to travel in which the french marriage considers that Seville was essential as it is one of their favorite cities in the world and to which they seek visit every year when the April Fair arrives.
The book is written by Paul-Maxime Koskas, a publication that, through texts and a multitude of images, captures the Andalusian spirit of Seville, highlighting the sun, its horses, flamenco, bulls, its churches and monuments and the way to love the life of the Sevillians.
To publicize this new publication, the Assoulines, together with Koskas himself and Cedric Reversade, with the help ofand Princess Louise of Orleans, they organized a party at the House of Pilate which was attended by numerous and varied guests.
The presence in Pilate of Rafael Medina Abascal, Duke of Feria – along with his wife, Laura Vecino– and his niece Victory of Hohenlohe-Langenburg, Duchess of Medinaceli. Both returned to the Casa de Pilatos, where, due to family disagreements already published so many times in the media, Victoria could not celebrate her wedding with Maxime Corneille -also present at this festival-, choosing for this the Cadiz town of Jerez de la Frontera, last October.
They were not missing either Victory of Marichalar, on this occasion with his father, Jaime de Marichalar, who did not hesitate to pose with the host of the event, Martine Assouline, who remained wearing his usual sunglasses even at night.
Some of the guests came to Pilate directly from the Plaza de la Maestranza, at the end of the day’s bullfight; others, from their homes or hotels, depending on the origin of each one.
The businessmen also enjoyed the party. Vicente Boluda and Pedro Trapote, both, accompanied by their respective wives, Esther Pastor and Begoña García Vaquero. Like Almudena de la Maza or Mayda Valdenebro with her daughter-in-law Veronica Lora and with his children Mayda, Estanis and Enriquethe latter, together with his wife, Alexandra Hoffer, and his daughter Allegra. Besides her friend Adela Andrada-Vanderwilde.
There was also representation of the world of bullfighting, with the presence of Julián López ‘El Juli’ and Miguel Báez Spínola ‘El Litri’ with his wife, Casilda Ybarra de Fontcuberta, in addition to Iván Bohórquez or the flamenco designer Rocío Peralta.
The night lasted until dawn with a Flemish in one of the rooms of the palace. An event that gave attendees the starting signal for the beginning of the April Fair.
