Two prominent Paralympic athletes related to the world of books, Teresa Perales and David Casinos, will participate this Thursday, at 6:30 p.m., at the Madrid Book Fair in the round table ‘The Paralympic Games, a tool for disseminating values’.

In this round table, the two athletes will be together with the journalist Ramón Chamorro and with the intervention, as moderator, of the Director of Communication of the Spanish Paralympic Committee (CPE), Luis Leardy.

Teresa Perales is the Spanish swimmer with the most medals in the Paralympic Games and won the Princess of Asturias Sports Award in 2021. She is the author of two books, ‘The strength of a dream’ and ‘My life on wheels’, in which she contributes lessons for the life of any person based on their personal experience.

For his part, David Casinos, a blind athlete, is a four-time Paralympic champion in shot put and discus and author of ‘Every day the sun rises and if it doesn’t, I’ll take care of bringing it out’.

The round table, which will take place in the CaixaBank Pavilion, will be held on the day that the Book Fair has declared as ‘Olympic and Paralympic Day’, June 13, in an edition in which sport is the main axis of the fair, under the motto ‘Train your mind, read your body’.
