Looking ahead to the shareholders meeting that will take place this Friday, Cencosud will carry out a profound renovation both in the board of directors of the parent company and that of its real estate subsidiary, Cencosud Shopping.

The changes start in the conglomerate matrix, where members of the Paulmann family will move pieces. Thus, Heike Paulmann, who served as president of the company until last December, will leave the table.

This is added to the departure of Argentine Jorge Pérez, so there were two vacant spots. In those spaces, the youngest of the clan, Peter Paulmann, will return to the matrix table.

In addition, the controllers also proposed Josefina Montenegro as director, who today holds that position at Codelco, Invercap and Sky, among other companies.

Colombian Mónica Contreras and Peruvian Lieneke Schol will also leave the board; They will be replaced by new directors of the same nationalities, respectively, Mónica Jiménez González and María Leonie Roca.

The table would be completed by the Brazilian Julio Moura, who currently holds the position of president; the former Minister of Finance, Felipe Larraín; Horst Paulmann’s eldest son, Manfred; and the independents proposed by the AFP, Ignacio Pérez and Carlos Fernández.

Jaime Soler returns

But the news will also occur in the retailer’s shopping center real estate subsidiary.

The former general manager of the conglomerate between October 2014 and September 2018, Jaime Soler, will return to the company – as anticipated by Signal DF – with a seat on the board of directors of Cencosud Shopping.

Soler, after leaving Cencosud, became a businessman, as well as a business advisor and director. For example, he has a minority stake in the Soler de Las Condes restaurant, franchises of the emblematic Curicó establishment linked to his cousins.
