Fraud with Carulla’s TUYA card: no one responds?

This is a space for free and independent expression that exclusively reflects the points of view of the authors and does not compromise the thought or opinion of Las2orillas.

The present fraud with Carulla’s TUYA card It is inconceivable: a citizen must pay an alleged debt with the entity, even though he has never used that card. This is the story told by the affected person:

On May 22 I received a phone call from the company SYSTEMGROUP in which they informed me that, if I did not pay a debt worth $56,704,343, they would proceed to seize a property located on Carrera 80 D No 12-18 in the Andalucía neighborhood, with which I have never had a relationship; and they would also seize all my bank accounts and income (!).

When communicating with the YOURS card (from the business group CARULLA and SUCCESS) I clarified that neither the home address, nor the cell phone, nor the card number or email registered with the supposed card in my name were correct.

On the contrary, I reported that the card I have with them was still in the plastic it arrived because I have never used it and that it did not correspond to that of fraud.

Notwithstanding the above, TUYA informed me last Friday, June 7, that I must pay the debt of which I do not even know where it was madeon what date or what the purchase was, but that I must pay, since if I do not do so they will proceed with the seizure of my accounts and incomewhich I require to live.

Apparently this happens every day to thousands of Colombians; the unprecedented thing is that I am ad portas of an embargo on which TUYA has not provided the minimum information that any cardholder should have.

I have countless questions for Grupo Éxito, a company that I always considered serious. in their processes and about which I have not obtained answers in these fifteen days in which I have expected an objective and coherent reaction from them:

Where are the alerts that a business group like ÉXITO-CARULLA should have with its clients? Where are the controls that should be implemented to grant a credit card When I already have another one with the same entity?

Where are the validations in your own databases? How do you grant quotas on credit cards? Go ahead and try it in normal ways, you never reach those figures What mechanisms do they use to identify fraud?

And I have more questions (that no one, neither Carulla nor Éxito, have wanted to answer): What kind of investigation do they carry out so that, knowing the personal and supposed housing information, since they have the correct ones in their databases, they deny the request? What information does the company that makes the pre and legal collection corroborate to seize a property that does not correspond to the cardholder?

Lastly, and most worrying:

In the two years since the supposed purchase, I NEVER received a notification of the debt. If TUYA had the information that is correct with my identification, why did they never communicate to me? I also understand that the TUYA card is supported by Bancolombia, an entity of which I have been a client for several years, and then: don’t they check data?

So things are, What confidence can one have when handing over their personal data to entities as recognized as Carulla and Bancolombia if things like this happen? How does it allow Superfinancial that these things happen?
