The Extreme Collection, more outside of Spain. The Madrid women’s fashion company, which is immersed in an expansion strategy abroad, has been materializing its expansion plan and has signed an agreement with a French distributor with which it will land in the physical channel (through multi-brand) with the spring summer 2025 collection. This step abroad joins the company’s plans in China, the United States, Mexico and European countries, as Jorge García, co-founder and co-CEO, told Modaes.

This is the second agreement with a local distributor that the company has signed. The intention is for this movement to be extrapolated to other European and international markets. Besides, the company will enable a specific website for the French and Italian market. “We want to start selling in these markets through local management: it is a plan that we had before the pandemic, which also includes the opening of pop ups or more investment in marketing,” explains García.

The Extreme Collection also has a focus on Asia. The Extreme Collection signed an agreement with a local distributor in China last year, a plan that has been materializing and that will finally be operational this coming fall. “The first thing we want to do is learn about the evolution of this market and we have not set a specific opening plan; At the moment, with our partner we sell through live shopping”says the co-founder.

The Madrid women’s fashion company, which has three of its own street-level establishments in Spain, also has expansion plans on a national scale. The Extreme Collection is located immersed in the search for a location in Barcelona, where it plans to open its first franchise.

Currently, the multi-brand channel generates 40% of the group’s total sales, while its own establishments generate 28% of turnover. The online channel, for its part, accounts for 32% of sales, a percentage that the company plans to increase over the next few years. “In Spain it is difficult to grow, that is why we have started a serious expansion plan in Italy and France,” explains the manager.

The Extreme Collection, founded in 1990 in Madrid by brothers Jorge and Adriano García, continues to work from the capital at its headquarters on Claudio Coello Street.. The company closed 2020 without making any layoffs and currently employs 55 workers. The Madrid company manufactures all its products in Spain, in workshops located in Madrid and Toledo.

The company, which does not reveal its financial data, assures that it has been profitable since its inception, a trend that did not fall even in the year of the pandemic where it was saved “by online”, in the words of García. The Extreme Collection closed 2023 with a turnover 17% higher than the previous yeara rhythm that the co-founder expects to last, since, in the first months of 2024, the company has already increased its turnover by 12%.
