The Spanish telecommunications and cybersecurity technological solutions company Teldat and the Paris Metro have reached a collaboration agreement to improve connectivity in public transport in the French capital. In this way, the company will install state-of-the-art solutions in 176 trains and 857 cars in an agreement signed within the framework of the celebration of the Olympic Games in the French city this summer.

In this way, Teldat has been chosen to provide cutting-edge technology and 5G and WiFi 6 solutions in MiMo 4×4, centralized management and its cybersecurity solution (be.Safe Essentials) implemented in Virtual Appliance in the French capital. With these solutions, the company not only provides internet access and significantly improves the passenger experience on Parisian public transport, but also enables new business models that increase margins per passenger and per trip.

Teldat not only provides the technology necessary in this project in what is called the “onboard sector”, that is, the technology that allows the integration of services (ticketingcctv, infotainment or content servers) on trains thanks to an internet-connected communications platform, but also plays a “crucial role as an advisor and facilitator in the process.”

According to Teldat, the need for solid and reliable connectivity in public transport is increasingly evident in the digital era in which we live. To meet this growing demand, the company highlights its ability to develop comprehensive solutions that address customer needs efficiently and effectively, in addition to providing greater stability and continuity of communications without drops in service, cybersecurity, detection and attack prevention.

“We are very proud to have been chosen for this important project,” assures Antonio García Romero, CEO of Teldat, who adds that “our solution will offer Paris metro passengers reliable, high-speed connectivity, allowing them to access the internet, work, be entertained and stay connected during their trip.”

In this sense, the company points out that its choice for this project was thanks to several key factors, such as its “consolidated position in the sector”, backed by more than 15 years of experience and the successful implementation of solutions on five continents. In addition, the firm highlights direct communication with the manufacturer, versatility in system architectures and a 40-year business history. “We are committed to offering the best quality-price ratio and adapting to the specific needs of our clients,” says García Romero.
