The Colombian singer Juanes revealed the reason why he has never collaborated with the Barranquilla artist Shakira.
For many years, the singer’s fans have asked him for a joint song despite rumors of an alleged feud between the two celebrities.
That is why, in the middle of an interview for the Puerto Rican podcast MoluscoTV, Juanes spoke about his relationship with the singer and the reason why they have never come together to release a song.
“With Shakira, I think that has to be something natural, that it flows. The day it flows, we will do it,” commented the Paisa singer.
Although they have been seen as distant, Juanes and Shakira lived an emotional moment a few months ago during the 24th edition of the Latin Grammy Awards at the Palace of Congresses and Exhibitions (Fibes), in the city of Seville, Spain.
Through social networks, a video went viral in which the two celebrities are seen having a conversation minutes before the singer went on stage and presented her respective show.
“You’re handsome,” Shakira tells Juanes after giving him a tender hug.
Although in recent years there have been rumors about an alleged feud between both celebrities, this latest meeting clears up any comments about problems and confirms the good relationship they have.
It should be noted that, in the middle of the interview, the artist also referred to other aspects of his life such as his relationship with his family and his emotional stability.
“Right now I am in the best version of myself and I say it from the bottom of my heart because I think I have been through everything. I have not had a drug problem, my problem was overdoing it at work,” she said.
Juanes indicated that most musicians experience ups and downs. “In my case, I reached a point where I felt tired of work.”
“There came a time when I was tired of not being able to be a normal person, of not being able to be at home with my children, take them to school and share with them,” said the singer.
Likewise, he referred to his world tours and the work that comes with doing more than “30 concerts in a short time.”
“You always have to make an effort to manage people and connect. Therefore, loving music is very important. Sometimes I feel so tired, but I remember that I love music so much that I keep going,” she stressed.
