Daniela Luján and the great resurgence of a former child star

To say that, until recently, Daniela Luján’s career was in decline, would be exaggerating and missing the truth. Daniela is a prolific actress and she has never, for more than 20 years, stopped working.

Daniela achieved fame in the nineties – the golden age of children’s soap operas in Mexico – thanks to her leading roles in productions such as “Luz Clarita”, “El Diario de Daniela” and “Primer amor a mil x hora”.

His childhood and adolescence were spent on television sets, rehearsals, plays, national and international tours, airplanes, hotels and interviews.

As she grew older, she moved away from music when she realized that singing in public made her suffer more than she liked and, although she never left television, she focused much more on theater, which she now considers her great passion.

He has participated in dozens of projects although, certainly, it seemed that soap operas had not done him justice in recent years, since his last appearance in soap operas was in 2018, with a small role in “Por amar sin ley”. But she never saw it that way.

“I always trusted that this career is a cycle and I gave myself the chance to do projects that filled my heart and that challenged me in a much deeper way, as is the case with theater, which I enjoyed and enjoy very much,” he confessed ago. a few days in an interview with Dani Valle for his YouTube channel.

During the pandemic she did not have a bad time, she had enough savings to support herself and she took the opportunity to launch a YouTube channel called “Envinadas” with her colleagues and friends Daniela Botas and Jessica Segura.

Nobody knew it – not even her – but for some time, Daniela had been suffering from functional depression, from which she came out thanks to psychiatric treatment, which she sought after flirting with the idea of taking her own life.

The psychiatric treatment worked and Daniela Luján began to shine. She joined the “2000’s x Siempre” tour with great success alongside her childhood co-star, the Argentine Martín Ricca.

Furthermore, “Envinadas” went from being an experiment with no more production than a cell phone, to becoming a channel with almost a million followers and hundreds of thousands of views every week. As icing on the cake, a few months ago she announced her engagement to fellow actor Mario Monroy.

“The comments are that ‘she’s been shining since she’s been on tour in the 2000s or since she’s been engaged’. No, girl, since I finished my psychiatric treatment.”

“I had a boyfriend, I had a house, I had a dog, I had a job. Everything was cool and I couldn’t enjoy it and now all these gifts that life is giving me, I can enjoy them and I can thank them and that’s cool.”

As if this were not enough, he will finally return to the soap operas with a starring role. Rosy Ocampo invited her to be part of her new project titled “Dads for convenience” in one of her main roles alongside Martín Ricca, Ariadne Díaz and José Ron, among others.

But for Daniela this is not revenge, but rather a sign that in life there are ups and downs.

“Some suddenly say ‘you needed justice’ and no, life doesn’t owe me anything, nor do I owe anything to life,” he said through tears a few days ago in ‘Envinadas’, a project to which, he assured, he owes all the love from his fans and all the success he has had lately.

“I am experiencing many things at the same time, but without belittling anything or anyone, I feel that there are many people who want that credit for what is happening to me and the love that I am receiving at this moment, but I owe it to them.” completely to ‘Envinadas,’” he added.
