María Aguilera was born in the town of Yocoima, Upata, Bolívar State. For 25 years he accompanied the famous chef in his space “An Angel in your kitchen”, A diligent but quite reserved woman, as well as serious and somewhat elusive, however, her mystery made viewers interested in her. Ángel saw her for the first time at the opening of a restaurant, and from that moment on they became inseparable.

The chef’s love for the stove comes from his childhood, his family owned a kitchen inn, and this led him to be quite involved in that world. In 1975 he came to Venezuela and started as an innkeeper in “The Fonda de Las Mercedes”then he became a kitchen assistant and after that, he rose to head of the kitchen, to finally be the owner.
To expand his income and also his popularity, he enters the business world and becomes co-owner and owner of restaurants such as “La Onion”, “El Porrón de Ángel”, “EL Lar del Jabugo”, “La Pimienta”, among others. All of those stores were in Caracas.
His path in the entertainment industry began thanks to the news anchor, Eladio Lares. “An Angel in your kitchen” It started as a space in “El Observador” and then the chef made it his own.
