Carlos Perciavalle and Jimmy Castilhos, the couple who captured the hearts of many after their romantic wedding in Maldonado, Uruguay, never cease to surprise. Recently, during a visit to the program “A la afternoon”, they shared exciting news: they are expecting a child through a surrogate.
“I am the future father of our son,” announced an excited Jimmy, who revealed that the baby will be born in December. Carlos, for his part, shared his wish that if he is a boy he be called Gerónimo Argentino, a tribute to his beloved country and his grandfather.
Their love, which began 24 years ago when Jimmy hired Carlos for a show in Laguna de Sauce, Uruguay, has evolved from a professional bond to a deep emotional connection. “We became friends immediately and had a lifelong empathy from the heart. There’s a reason why Carlos is one of the loves of my life,” Jimmy confessed during his recent appearance on “La Noche al Dente.”
This feeling was consolidated when they said “I do” in an intimate civil ceremony, followed by a special blessing from a Catholic priest, approved by the Vatican. “As children of God who are both and have asked for a blessing for you from God our father, it is with pleasure that we are present on behalf of the Church to ask that he bless you,” were the words of the priest at their union.
In addition to preparing for the arrival of their baby, the couple lives their life with great joy and plans for the future. Carlos, in particular, is excited about the possibility of his son being born in Argentina, reaffirming his love for the country: “I want him to be Argentine and have his grandfather’s name (for Castilhos) and the name of Argentine because I I carry Argentina in my soul,” he expressed. Although they have not yet decided on the name if she is a girl, the expectation and excitement are equally great.
