Édgar Vittorino had to fight to stop being cast in criminal roles

As soon as he had the opportunity, thanks to his work, Édgar Vittorino decided to go in search of his Italian roots and obtain citizenship. In this way, he also sought new horizons by settling in Madrid, Spain.

“The first role I had was a small, stereotyped role, but I had to do it to be able to open a space there and then I had to wait six months to start the second season. Without work, but I couldn’t go because if I came here to work I could lose that and I I wanted to strengthen my image in Spain and then come and they can still call me there,” details the 35-year-old actor.

He recently had the opportunity to play a homosexual man in a foreign series, a role that gave him the opportunity to understand his brother Ramón Vittorino much better, who is part of the LGBTIQ+ community.

“He helped me, he came to my house and read the scripts, he told me that I had to find that spark and that double meaning. By sharing with him I managed to embody his sensitivity, He is a beautiful boy, with a sensitivity that I wish I could have as an actor.“said Edgar Vittorino.
