Carolina Papaleo gave an interview to Pronto Magazine and talked about one of the worst moments she had to live through. She became distressed and thought that the world was ending at that moment.
“I was very surprised when Vivo para Vos ended, to be honest. Now I’m a little better but it was very hard. I try not to talk about it because it distresses me. A bucket of ice water,” he began.
“I was surprised and I didn’t think they were going to take it off the air. It was a program that was doing well and we won on the weekends. The channel was very happy, we were happy to do it and so were the guests who came,” Carolina added.
And he added: “They felt very respected and cared for. So, for me it was a pain. I had gone on vacation calmly and knowing that I would have my job when I returned. But our work is unstable and that is why I started to set up these two companies that I told you, to have something a little more stable than having to depend on acting.”
“I was hired and the contract ended last December 31. The repetitions continued during the summer and they are doing them less and less because they are running out of material to repeat,” he remarked.
“On Saturdays and Sundays they had put together some repetition combos to cover our two hours and have time to be able to negotiate with the channel. But the days went by, no one called and one day I took the plunge and called myself,” he said. .
“I didn’t want to do it because I imagined what they were going to tell me but I had to call. Since the contract had expired, there was not much possibility of fighting it. I had gone on vacation with the uncertainty of not knowing how much they were going to pay me,” Papaleo added. .
“Inflation was enormous and we had continued with the same salaries. We had only had a very small increase. And when I spoke they told me that there was no budget to make Vivo para vos. And that was the end of it all,” he concluded.
