Winfrey would be in one of the sections of the program; but given her notable absence, King explained to the public that the driver was emergency hospitalized a couple of days ago: “He had some kind of stomach problem, stomach flu (gastroenteritis), and things were coming out of both ends,” he said.
The situation, the presenter detailed, was serious and Winfrey ended with intravenous drip due to a severe dehydration: “I’m not going to be too graphic. Needless to say, she ended up in the hospital, dehydrated, they had to put her on an IV, it was very serious,” she added.

“He is recovering from gastroenteritis and received an IV due to dehydration on the recommendation of his doctor. He is resting and feeling better every day,” the text reads.
