Matt Bomer claims he lost the role of Superman because of his sexual orientation

Matt Bomer is an American actor known for his versatility. He participated in television series such as American Horror Story and White Collar; and in moviesMagic Mike, The Magnificent Seven and Teacher, from Netflix. Due to his long career, he was on the verge of being Clark Kent in a movie superman scheduled for the year 2000.

However, it was cut short because, according to the artist, he was not chosen for his sexual orientation. As recalled, in 2012, he revealed that he is openly gay and has spoken publicly about it on numerous occasions.

Actor David Corenswet is the new Superman

Filmmaker James Gunn shared the first image of actor David Corenswet dressed as Superman for the new film about ‘Man of Steel’. The revelation was made through the director’s Instagram account, where the performer is shown wearing the classic superhero costume.

According to Gunn, the snapshot “was taken on set by (photographer) Jess Miglio and was completely in-camera.” At 30 years old, Corenswet takes on her first leading role in the film industry after having worked in supporting roles in the cast of The Politician and hollywood, two Netflix series created by Ryan Murphy.

The cast of the upcoming film has other stars apart from David Corenswet as Rachel Brosnahan playing Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Wendall Pierce as Perry White and Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl.

The release date for superman It is scheduled for July 11, 2025 in the United States, although details regarding its launch in Latin America have not yet been provided.
