The commercial fiasco that ended up being Madame Web at the beginning of the years was accompanied by statements from Dakota Johnson where she launched a veiled criticism of Sony for the way they produce this type of films. Specifically, the actress complained that the creative decisions regarding the film were made by a committee, looking at the numbers and what an algorithm dictated to them. Now, Russell Crowewith three superhero universes behind him, responded in a talk.
“They are all jobs, a role to play”
It was in GQ, where the British media wanted to know the opinion of the Gladiator protagonist about those words from the Madame Web star. This he said:
“I don’t want to make any comments about what anyone else might have said or what their experience was, but… I can’t resist. (Laughs) Are you telling me you joined a Marvel movie or some other fucking movie? cartoon universe and you didn’t find enough feeling in it? I’m not sure how this could have been better for you.. Crowe did not want to go much further in his comments because he does not know the extent of Dakota Johnson’s experience filming Madame Web, but in his opinion he has not experienced anything similar, although it is a challenge for him to get into his character with so much blue screen ( or green) that prevails so much in these projects.
In Kraven the Hunter Russell Crowe will play Nikolai Kravinoff, the show’s father. The film will hit theaters on December 13 after several delays, and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who also participated in the MCU.
