Luis Rodríguez Echeverría Born in Venezuela, he chose the passion of acting that brought him to Argentina for several professional projects. Today, he puts himself in the shoes of the magical character that he has fallen in love with for decades, THE LITTLE PRINCE.
The work “The Little Prince, A Musical Adventure”premiered on Saturday, June 15 at the Opera Theater. He is accompanied by a great cast that includes Juan Carlos Baglietto, Flor Otero, Joaquín Baglietto, Carlos March, Roberto Catarineu, Walas, Valentina Podioamong others.
In dialogue with SOONexpressed what it means for the actor to fulfill this role and the messages left by the story of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry who jumps again from literature to theater, with a shocking scenario.
“It means everything. It’s the most beautiful experience I’ve had in my entire life. I’m very, very grateful and it’s a dream come true. I can’t put it any other way. I’m incredibly happy,” revealed to us.
At a press conference for the entire cast, we asked them to define What The Little Prince means to them in a single word: “My word had been INNOCENCE. Because I feel that innocence is a virtue that is sometimes not given importance. People misinterpret it as naivety and there is a very beautiful value in taking everything like the first time.. “Have an open heart, an open mind, go through life without prejudice, get excited when things move you, be affected when things affect you.”
“Innocence is a super virtue that I left from The Little Prince and that takes me to the rest of my life. We must not lose innocence. We must take care of it”highlighted the Venezuelan actor.
Luis Rodríguez Echeverría considers that “The Little Prince comes to teach that. It is the essence of seeing what is important is the ethereal, what cannot be touched, what cannot be seen.. It reminds us of that. I feel like The Little Prince is not for children.they don’t know, they have nothing to learn. It’s for adults… so that reconnect with that child you were”.
Upon finding out that he would play this character, he read the book again and confessed that “what I had left this timefor one you always get something different, It’s just that I paid a little more attention to the relationship between The Little Prince and The Rose, why he loves her so much.. Why La Rosa is the way she is and why they have that relationship. I think that an important part of the story is that The Little Prince learns that the Rose is very important to him. because it is UNIQUE. Although there are other flowers, the only rose on your planet is her. Just as we have important people in our lives who are unique and deserve the care, treatment and presence”,
When responding what is YOUR ROSE in your life todayLuis expressed: “Many people. I, an immigrant, had to leave my people behind, bring many people to the center (points to his heart) and today I have a small group of soul family that I care for a lot and value a lot because they are the people who have been there throughout time, throughout my journey.. “Those are the people I consider my PINK.”
Luis Rodríguez Echeverría personifies a great bond with La Rosa, played by Valentina Podio. So that they know the depth of that relationship, the actor invited the readers of SOON to see the play because “they are going to find an adventure, a trip, lights and a cast that will blow their minds, a story that will come from the heart.”
The work displayed in The Little Prince has a fascinating set design that will capture the constant attention of viewers immersed in the magic of this story created by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The actor highlighted that “It’s very easy to act in a space like that, with almost a set. Suddenly you’re in a desert and suddenly you’re on a drunk’s planet, it’s great”. “I can’t believe it,” she defined with the emotion of a child seeing something for the first time.
