In an interview on Salud y Algo Más on W Radio, holistic vibrational therapist and dentist, Liliana Flores, shared her perspectives on the role of blame on our emotional and physical health.

“Guilt is a complex and social emotion,” Flores said. “It is one of the lowest vibrational frequencies and can be very harmful to our self-esteem and general well-being.”

Flores explained that Guilt can arise from real or perceived actions, as well as omissions. “The 90% of people feel guilt at some point in their lives”, he added. “But it is crucial to distinguish between healthy guilt, which leads us to learn and grow, and toxic guilt, which immerses us in negative and destructive thoughts.”

The therapist also pointed out that guilt not only affects our emotions, but also our body. “People who experience guilt often report physical discomfort, such as lumps in the throat or tension in the back.”he explained.

Flores offered some strategies, including self-observation, forgiveness (both toward ourselves and others), and reevaluation of our actions from a learning perspective.

“Forgiveness is not to benefit the other person, but to find peace of mind for ourselves,” Flores stressed. “It is important to accept our experiences, learn from them and let go of the emotional weight that prevents us from moving forward.”

At the end of the interview, Flores invited anyone interested to explore holistic therapy as a path to emotional healing. “We all have the ability to self-regulate, forgive ourselves, and manage our emotions,” she concluded. “Therapy can be a powerful tool in this process.”
